Malaysia has been steadily establishing itself as a vital player in the global semiconductor industry. Intel’s Malaysian facilities include areas for cutting and sorting incoming wafers, as well as assembling and installing them into substrates before they are packaged. There are tests and further tests at every stage before they are tested further. This involves creating long-term, durable supply chains and implementing scalable manufacturing procedures. Then there’s the utilization of external foundries where appropriate and the launch of Intel Foundry Services, via which fabless clients can leverage Intel’s manufacturing knowledge.
