Recently, Instagram has rolled out a new fundraising feature via Instagram Live. This new added feature allow users to raise funds during Instagram Live stream which is like a small scale telethon via the app. The purposes of the new added feature is to help people and businesses which impacted by COVID-19.

The picture shown as above show that to create your own Instagram Live fundraiser, you will select the Fundraiser feature when you start your Instagram Live broadcast. When you tap through, you will then be able to choose a nonprofit to support.
Besides that, you will be able to see how many people have pledged support to your chosen cause during your stream along with a real-time listing of the total money raised. The sample picture shown as below.

Moreover, Instagram also looking to boost awareness for Live fundraisers via a new ‘I Donated’ sticker that people can add to their Stories. Hence, it has a dual benefits of promoting the initiative via your own Story and appearing in its own, separate ‘Donate’ Story, highlighted at the top of the feed.
