Currently Facebook is testing a new messenger option which is allowing users to share their phone screen in Facebook Messenger Chat instead of using the camera. You can share your favorite content with your video chat. For example, user can just turn off the camera and allow everyone in the chat to see the screen. It looks like the share screen function in Skype. Sample shown as below.
Benefits of this Feature
It enables users to run a real-time walk through on screen, quickly share a range of photos / videos or even discussion about documents for work or study by using this screen sharing feature.
What is the Impact?
It probably is a good feature however is there any impact using this feature? Well, this may be some private or personal info on your screen which you may not want to share in a group chat. Thus, will it raise the issue of privacy when the screen sharing is enable? We will find out more once this feature is fully established in future.
