Twitter’s looking to make it easier and faster to respond to a direct message by testing out emoji reactions which you would be able to attach to specific message.

As you can see the sample attached as above, this option enable users to attach one of seven quick emoji respond to any given message in a stream. It is quick similar of the Facebook function which added to Messenger in 2017 which allow users to allocate an emoji response to each specific message.

By adding this feature, it makes sense for enhance the experience.
In meantime, Twitter actually has been looking to integrate its own form of Reaction emoji. They have tested Reactions for tweets but the feature never advanced beyond Twitter changing the star to a heart for Likes. That was seemingly controversial enough, but now, with Twitter looking for new ways to engage its audience, and boost messaging use in particular, the addition of DM Reactions could be a good fit.
It actually seems like a pretty simple and beneficial update, line up with options that are already in use on other platforms. But still there is no official word from Twitter on any potential roll out, but it seems to make sense.
