In January 2018, WhatsApp had launched a separate app designed for small business which known as WhatsApp Business. It is an existing WhatsApp app with additional features and mainly designed for businesses in order for them to stay connected with their clients.

Before the launching of WhatsApp Business, you had to use your number or install two WhatsApp on the same device with Parallel Space or other methods if you wanted to use WhatsApp for your business. Different Logo
In order to help user easily differentiate between both apps visually, they have a different logo. For WhatsApp Business, the phone symbol replaced by the character B inside the WhatsApp icon logo. Picture shown as below.
Indentify Chats
WhatsApp will notify you if it is from a business account inside the chat when you got a message. A small notification will be displayed informing you that the conversation is taking place with a business account.
Business Description
You can create a proper business profile by adding details in term of business address, description of business, working hours, location and etc in your WhatsApp Business. By doing this, it is more convenience for customers to get all the necessary and important information regarding your business and proceed to contact you.
Quick Reply
WhatsApp Business comes with a smart response tool so called Quick Reply. You can send predefined replies for frequently asked questions with Quick Reply. For instance, when a person asked a question, press the forward slash key (/). You will see all the quick replies for you to pick one and save yourself from typing same responses repeatedly. This feature isn’t present in regular WhatsApp app.
Greeting Message
WhatsApp Business enables you to introduce your business to the customer by using a greeting message. For example, WhatsApp Business will auto generate and send a greeting message which is created by you and send to every new customers or after 14 days of no activity with the said customer.
Labels
In order to separate and classify your conversations, WhatsApp Business comes with the label feature. You can add labels to chat and segregate them into categories. For instance, if you are using WhatsApp Business to sell something, you can have labels like new order, payment received, payment pending, order completed, etc. So that you can then see all messages under each label. Since the labels are color-coded, it’s easy to find the chats.
