Best Digital Business Card Brands in Malaysia: 8 Compared

Best Digital Business Card Brands in Malaysia: 8 Compared

If you work a room three times a week, a box of printed cards is a printing lead time and a pile you will never scan. A digital card removes both. The problem is that “digital business card” now covers two very different products, and the reviews rarely say which one you are being sold.

One kind is a card. You make a page, you share it. The other kind is a lead-capture system with a card attached, priced per seat, built to sync into a CRM. Both are called the same thing.

Below are eight that a Malaysian business will actually encounter, each checked against the vendor’s own pricing page on 18 September 2026. Every price and feature in the table is quoted from the vendor, and where a vendor does not publish something, we say so instead of filling the gap.

Disclosure, up front: WAPP.MY is operated by Big Domain, the company behind BD Media, and it is one of the eight below. We have listed the others and their pricing on the same terms. Where we could not verify something, it is marked as not verified rather than left out.

Digital business card Malaysia: the eight brands worth your time

The single most useful thing to know before you compare: four of these eight publish a free tier, one clearly does not, and three do not publish enough to tell. That divides the list faster than any feature comparison — but read the limit, not the word “free”.

Two notes on that table, because they are the things that get misread. Prices are in each vendor’s own currency — mostly US dollars — and we have deliberately not converted them to ringgit, because a converted price is wrong the moment the rate moves and you would be budgeting against a stale number. Check the current rate before you commit. And “free forever” is the vendor’s own wording, not our assessment; what a free tier looks like in two years is a different question.

HiHello pricing page showing four plans: Personal free forever with 4 digital business cards and 5 card and badge scans per month, Professional at 6 US dollars per month, Business at 5 US dollars per user per month, and Enterprise with custom pricing
Source: HiHello pricing and plan comparison, retrieved 18 September 2026 from hihello.com/pricing. The free tier is real but capped at four cards and five scans a month.

How to choose in five minutes

  1. Are you buying a card, or a pipeline? If you want to hand someone your details at a networking lunch, you need a card. If you are sending five people to a trade show and want the badges in HubSpot by Monday, you need the system, and you will pay per seat for it.
  2. Does the free tier actually cover you? HiHello free gives you four cards and five scans a month. Blinq free gives you two cards and unlimited sharing. WAPP free states unlimited views and unlimited shares, and publishes no card cap. Read the limit, not the word “free”.
  3. Do you need a card for the whole team? That is where per-seat pricing starts, and the gap is wide: HiHello Business is US$5/user/month, Blinq Business US$6.99, Covve Pro US$20.
  4. Will you scan other people’s cards? If yes, the scanning limits are the constraint. Covve has no free tier precisely because scanning is its product.
  5. Who are you actually meeting? This decides more than the feature list does — see the next section.

The eight, briefly

Each of these was read from the vendor’s own site on 18 September 2026.

WAPP.MY — the WhatsApp one

Pick it if: you meet people in person, often, and you want them in your WhatsApp rather than your CRM.

A free card at wapp.my/v/yourname, with photo, bio, position, company, phone, email, website and up to six social links, three themes, a one-tap save to the recipient’s contacts, and view tracking. The free tier has no card limit and no share limit.

Its differentiator is WAPP Meet. Every other product on this list asks you to present a QR code or tap an NFC tag. WAPP Meet asks for the one thing you already have at a networking event — the other person’s phone number — and sends your card straight into their WhatsApp. No scan, no tap, no app, and each exchange is logged with a timestamp. Malaysian business runs on WhatsApp; none of the other seven treat it as the primary channel.

Also free: a bio-links page, a branded WhatsApp tap-to-chat link, and a URL shortener. Operated by Big Domain since 2019.

HiHello — the best free tier for a professional

Pick it if: you want a polished personal card for nothing, and might pay later.

Personal is free forever with four cards, a personal email signature, virtual backgrounds, Apple and Google Wallet support, QR/widget/email/SMS sharing, and five card-and-badge scans a month. Professional at US$6/month lifts it to 16 cards, 20 scans a month, contact enrichment, card analytics and full customisation. Business from US$5/user/month adds unlimited cards, team email signatures, a company directory, admin controls and Salesforce, HubSpot and Dynamics 365 integration. Listed features include WhatsApp sharing and programming your own NFC card. SOC 2 Type II certified.

Blinq — the most generous free sharing

Pick it if: you want unlimited sharing and unlimited contacts without paying.

Free forever gives you two cards but unlimited sharing and unlimited contact creation — a wider free door than HiHello’s if two cards is enough. Apple and Google Wallet, personal email signature and virtual backgrounds are included. Premium at US$9.99/month (US$7.33/month billed annually) adds up to five cards, a universal scanner for badges, cards, QR and LinkedIn, an AI notetaker and AI contact enrichment. Business from US$6.99/user/month adds team cards, lead capture, event campaigns and native CRM sync. The vendor says its users are at 93 per cent of the Fortune 500.

Covve — the scanning specialist, and the one with no free tier

Pick it if: you come back from conferences with a shoebox of cards.

Covve’s free trial is real, and so is its edge: after the trial, scanning stops and you keep only the contacts you captured. Essential at US$12/seat/month (US$119/year) is unlimited card and QR scanning, offline scanning, recognition in over 60 languages, notes and groups, and Outlook, Google Contacts and Zapier integration. Custom branded digital cards are a Pro feature at US$20/seat/month (US$199/year), alongside event badge scanning, custom fields with CRM mapping and a web admin portal. Enterprise adds HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho and Dynamics 365, SSO, audit logs and a 99.95 per cent availability commitment. The vendor cites 2M+ professionals.

CamCard — the scanning legacy, strong in Asia

Pick it if: you are in a Chinese-speaking market and want an established Asian player.

Fifteen years in the business-card category, starting from scanning. Its digital cards support multiple cards for different occasions, custom styling, one-tap sharing, and alerts when a contact’s details change. The enterprise product is the real business: the vendor states 30 industries and more than 200,000 companies, with multimedia profiles (images, video, documents), centralised management of what staff are sending out, and a customisable mini-program. It holds ISO/IEC 27001, 27001-family, 27701 and CMMI V3.0 Level 5 certifications. No pricing is published on its homepage, so we have not printed any.

Popl — no longer really a namecard product

Pick it if: you are a large company buying event lead capture and want cards bundled in.

Popl now sells itself as an AI go-to-market platform for in-person events — universal badge scanning, AI enrichment through more than 20 data partners, native CRM sync and event attribution. Digital business cards still exist, but as one module inside team branding. The company cites 150M+ digital interactions, 2M+ users, 150+ countries, and says it is trusted by 90 per cent of the Fortune 500. No pricing is published; it is a demo request. For a Malaysian SME wanting a namecard, this is the wrong shape and the wrong price bracket.

Linq — the simple paid one

Pick it if: you want one plan, no tiers, and you are happy to pay.

Linq publishes US$29/month or US$249/year for “entrepreneurs and teams”, listing Linq Phone, custom hyper push notifications and email integration. That is the whole published detail — the pricing page does not break out feature tiers, so we have not invented any.

Uniqode — the QR-first option

Pick it if: you are buying QR infrastructure and want cards alongside it.

Uniqode’s published pricing is for its QR platform rather than its cards: a free plan that covers static QR codes only, then US$9/month upwards, with a Core plan at US$49/month and annual billing only. Its own FAQ warns that dynamic codes created on a trial stop working if you do not upgrade. If you were comparing this as a namecard product, note that you are really buying a QR system.

The WhatsApp gap

It is worth naming the pattern, because it is the reason this list and a US list do not look the same.

Seven of these eight route a card exchange through a QR code, an NFC tap, or an app the other person does not have. All three assume something about the moment you meet. A QR code assumes the other person will open a camera and understand what they are looking at. NFC assumes their phone is unlocked and supports it. An app assumes they will install it.

In a Malaysian networking room the third one is a non-starter, and the first two work most of the time. Most of the time is fine until you are working a room of fifty people and losing a third of them at the handoff.

Handing over by phone number removes all three assumptions. It is a smaller idea than a CRM integration, and for high-frequency meet-ups it is the one that changes the outcome.

What we could not verify

Three of the eight do not publish pricing on their public pages — CamCard, Popl and Linq’s full feature tiers. For Popl that is a deliberate enterprise motion; for CamCard we could not reach a Malaysian price list. Rather than estimate, those rows are marked as not published.

We also did not obtain ringgit pricing for any of the seven non-Malaysian options. None of them publishes a Malaysian price list, and converting a US dollar figure would produce a number that is wrong by the time you read it.

Finally, the “free forever” labels are the vendors’ own wording. We have not tested what happens to a free account after two years of use, and none of these comparisons can tell you that.

Setting up a card for a Malaysian team?

Big Domain works with Malaysian businesses on the contact layer behind their networking — card pages, WhatsApp links, and the tracking that shows which channel actually started a conversation. The WAPP.MY card and WAPP Meet are free to try.
