MIAPEX 2026 Targets RM12 Million in Sixth MIECC Edition

MIAPEX 2026 Targets RM12 Million in Sixth MIECC Edition

Malaysia’s largest automotive aftermarket trade show has set its targets, and the organisers have put a number on it: about RM12 million in sales transactions across three days, from roughly 350 exhibitors, in front of more than 22,000 visitors. MIAPEX 2026 — the Malaysia International Automotive & Parts Expo — runs 23 to 25 October at the Malaysia International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC), The Mines, Seri Kembangan, and entrance is free.

The figures come from organising chairman Ong Choon Jet, speaking at the press conference announcing the expo’s sixth edition. The event is endorsed by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and organised by AsiaAuto Venture Sdn Bhd.

The numbers, and what sits behind them

The headline target is RM12 million in sales transactions, which the organisers attribute to running a business-to-business and a consumer programme at the same time rather than treating the show as one or the other. Ong’s own framing, quoted by CarSifu: “MIAPEX has evolved beyond a traditional automotive parts exhibition. As we enter our 6th Edition, our vision is very clear: B2B by Industry, B2C by Experience.”

On the sourcing side, the exhibitor list spans the region and beyond. Bernama’s report names Malaysia, China, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and Germany among the participating markets; Harian Metro’s Malay-language report on the same event lists the same set but differs on the final two entries, so we have kept to the names both reports agree on rather than repeat a figure one outlet contradicts.

What a workshop owner actually goes for

For the trade audience — parts suppliers, distributors, workshop owners, logistics operators — the two conferences are the substantive part of the programme, and they are free to attend with the rest of the show.

The ASEAN Logistics and Transportation Conference runs 23–24 October and covers four things Bernama names explicitly: green electric-vehicle fleets, artificial-intelligence adoption, cross-border logistics, and an industry leaders’ town hall. That is a logistics agenda with an EV and AI layer, which is the direction the aftermarket’s commercial-vehicle side has been moving.

The Asia Automotive Repair Expert Conference (AARE) 2026 runs on 25 October and is aimed squarely at local workshop owners: technical advancements, EV car-repair safety, and industry certification standards. For a Malaysian workshop deciding how much to invest in EV capability, that certification strand is the most concrete item on the whole programme.

And for everyone else

The consumer side is deliberately loud. The Philippine Bumper to Bumper Car Show makes its Malaysian debut. The Raja & Ratu Tukar Tayar 2026 tyre-changing championship returns, and members of the public can enter and compete. The Malaysia Toy Cars Expo launches at this edition, bringing Tamiya mini 4WD and remote-control disciplines. Mega sales run across the floor, and registered visitors go into booth challenges and a lucky draw with RM20,000 in prizes.

Ong’s closing line to the public was the simplest sentence in the whole announcement: “Our message is simple: Come and experience MIAPEX. Entrance is free, and everyone is welcome.”

Why this matters to the aftermarket trade. A RM12 million transaction target across three days is a sourcing event, not a car show with a trade corner. For Malaysian parts suppliers and workshops, the practical value is in the two conferences and the buyer-facing business matching; for everyone else, it is the one weekend a year the whole aftermarket is in one building and admission costs nothing.
